If you’re just tuning in, welcome. I’m Caroline and this is my diary. After the success of my first story on accounting software from hell, I decided to make the diary entries myself.
I’m a small business owner and like many others I’m constantly faced with a balancing act between expertise, moderate knowledge and just down right winging it! It’s multitasking on speed and a balancing act that rarely works.
To begin, I’m just going to throw this on the table. I’m not a joiner and I don’t like to share much either. It’s not that I don’t like people, I do. I’m a very social person – with real people.
My issue today is social media. I’m so overwhelmed by the amount of online socialising required for small businesses. And it’s not the fun kind! There’s no swipe right or swipe left. It’s just a whole lot of self-promotion, regurgitated news and virtually patting someone on the back in hopes they reciprocate.
Being social has never felt so antisocial.
I look forward to the day that I can hire someone to be social on my behalf.
“social on my behalf” am I the only person that has an issue with that?
Please feel free to comment or share your stories. I would love to know I’m not alone, at least virtually…
